You come to see the show and you’ll get an extra burger! is an anti-show. It is a work in perpetual change, differing from one performance to another, that leaves the impression of a rehearsal taking place in front of the audience. The author makes a permanent remix of the content, blending in without reservation time segments and last-minute feelings, and trying to create a space that invites questions and reflections through the actress Mihaela Sirbu’s voice. Performed in more than five languages at festivals in France, Germany, Poland, Austria, Holland and Portugal, the “show” places at the center of attention the public confession of its author, and his critical stance toward the problems of the society he lives in, in particular those related to his profession. The author poses questions about the art of dance, swinging all the time between dance proper and the truths behind it. Not without a touch of irony, the author gets carried away by his extreme subjectivism, breaks stage rules and conventions, and discloses to the audience details about the making of the show and major events in his formation as a dancer.

Mihai Mihalcea is a dancer and choreographer. He graduated from George Enescu Choreography High School and the Choreography department of the University of Theatrical and Cinematographic Art. He received scholarships as a participant in Six Week School at Duke University, Durham, North Carolina (USA), and Pépinieres Européennes pour Jeunes Artistes, Paris.
Mihai Mihalcea was selected artist in residence at Tanzquartier Wien. Since 2002 he has been invited to collaborate with the National Dance Center in Paris, which became a co-producer of his latest shows, and he was invited to projects and choreographic research workshops organized by TanzQuartier in Vienna. Another two artistic residences were offered by CND Paris (July 2003) and Hebbel Theater in Berlin (August 2003) to produce the show Stars High in Amnesia’s Sky. Between November 2003-February 2004 he was invited as artist in residence by the international network Mobile(e), which decided to promote the show Stars High in Amnesia’s Sky during a tour in Germany, France and Switzerland.
Mihai Mihalcea danced and made shows and choreographic works performed in: France, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Austria, USA, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Portugal, Poland, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland and Slovenia.
