Tickets have been put on sale for the 2009 RNTF!

Tickets for the events included in the 19th edition of the National Theater Festival (October 31-November 8) have been put on sale in most theaters hosting the events. They are also available online.

Tickets for the 2009 NTF can be bought at the National Theater in Bucharest, National Opera in Bucharest, and Little Theater. The Comedy Theater opens its ticket office on Wednesday, October 7, and Odeon Theater does the same on Monday, October 12. This week tickets will also be sold at www.bilete.ro. The price varies between RON 21.20 and 63.50, but most events also sell discounted tickets at an average price of RON 17.85.

The NTF has programmed no less than 90 events over the 9-day period. This year the audience will be able to watch 21 shows from all over the country, the best of last season, five shows by debutant directors, a foreign guest show (The Bald Soprano by Eugene Ionesco staged by the French company Les Intempestifs), a premiere directed by Andry Zholdak (Princess Turandot), book launchings, debates and lectures.

The novelty of the 2009 NTF is brought by the special sections: Ionesco Event (a series of shows and events dedicated to the great playwright) and the RNTF Nocturnes (11 films about personalities from the theatrical world), as well as by the series of radio broadcasts of plays by Eugene Ionesco at Radio Romania Cultural throughout the Festival.

We are glad to welcome you at the 19th edition of the National Theater Festival!
