When they reached the end of the World, ancient cartographers used to write: “Here be dragons”. The Tempest is a comedy that came from the realm of dragons, where the Sacred is disguised as Profane. A story whose motto could be a NASA slogan: “Everything is possible! The impossible only takes longer.” It is the comedy of freedom and identity, the popular allegory of the confrontation between the artistic individual and the mediocre one. Prospero, a man clinging to the rock of hope, versus the innocent Caliban, a primitive and bizarre creature, incapable of understanding the evil he does. The Tempest shows us how to transform vulnerability into an advantage. It tells us that the fear of failure makes winners, and that man must take steps to restore balance and honor. A story about Man and his place in the mundane world.
The show, in which four actors play 15 characters, was premiered after 36 rehearsals and four test performances.
