Nominated for the Europe Theater Prize, Kama Ginkas is a legend of Russian theater, constantly adding new chapters to an already impressive biography. The Black Monk, produced nine years ago, has traveled to all the continents, and was invited to festivals in Germany, Italy, Belgium, Sweden, Finland, Holland, former Yugoslavia, France.
The actor in the leading role, Sergey Makovetsky, is one of Nikita Mikhalkov’s favorites and the cast leader of the famous director’s most recent film, 12, that received a prize at Karlovy Vary Festival and was nominated for an Oscar for Best Foreign Film.
