From Theater to Cinema is a documentary about the making of the show The Flood Drummers, a tribute to Jacques Lecoq. Thanks to the encounter with Ariane Mnouchkine, occasioned by this documentary, we can understand the artistic practice at the Théâtre du Soleil, where the actor and his imagination are prevalent, as is his work on the body and gesture, the Oriental source of theater. An encounter under the sign of exactingness and perfectionism which brought both Ariane Mnouchkine and the theater she founded, Théâtre du Soleil, a prominent position in contemporary theatrical practices.
