A mastermind of grandiose shows, always accompanied by the set designer Adriana Grand, the director Victor Ioan Frunza concludes the series of mature directors in Romanian theater. Caligula, which he directed at Baia Mare Municipal Theater, begins with a touching monologue of the tyrant, who carries the lifeless body of his mistress, trying to find a meaning of life. The actor George Costin played in the latest shows of the director, who entrusted him with the most complex parts. For Caligula, Victor Ioan Frunza discovered a young man with excellent acting skills, despite his age – a 17-year old Scipio, named Vlad Birzeanu.
